No. 5. Andhau stone inscription. The inscription consists of three lines. The inscribed surface measured 4' 7" X 7 1/2", and the average length of the letters is 1". Its object is to record the erection of a funeral monument to the memory of Yaщadatа, a novice, the daughter of Sihamita, of the Щenika gоtra, by her husband Madana, son of Sihila (BB).

L. 1. The гa in this (rаjгo) ligature has become very faint. (BB).
L. 2. Only the left half of the symbol (vа) is legible; there is only one stroke after
the symbol (2) for bahula; This (Щenika) may also be read Щinika; read sa-gotrаye.

L. 3. This word ([laштi]) has disappeared almost entirely through flaking. (BB).
