| Cave No. 87. The inscription is of one line. On the rock near the entrance to the Nirvанavиthи. The inscription is deeply cut and written near the foot prints of the Buddha. It measures 39 cm. x 12 cm. Letters 15 cm x 7 cm. Footprints 38 cm. x 15 cm. Characters: Brаhmи, 200 A.D. Language: Prakrit. Orthography: the medial i is written in slightly ornamental style. (ShG) |
