L. 1. Fleet - îì, in notes: denoted by a symbol.
L. 2. Fleet: (For sam(saì)vat) The shape of t is peculiar and resembles the figure for 100 on some Gupta silver coins. Altekar was tempted to read 100 107, but rightly dropped the idea.
L. 3 Fleet: (For svasiddhàntàbhirata) read -bhiratî=¸nåka-.

L. 6 Fleet: (For samakàlènaì)The anusvàra has been written not above the letter na but in a line with its horizontal line.
L. 8 Fleet: (For vàpnotèti and other) Here the text is defective and its restoration is not free from difficulty. The neuter yad would sugget that the expression pàpaì should follow; the reading -tr=àpàyaì is howerer clear and so it appears that the word apàya was also before the mind of the composer. If, however, we prefer to read this word, we shall have to change yad into yî. The letter sta following yaì seems to be a mistake of the engraver for sa; we want a saõ to correspond with yaõ coming earlier. The next letter looks like na, but it is to be corrected into ta. The succeeding letter is less likely to be ma than da, with an unnecessary stroke to its right, caused by the slipping of the instrument. The restoration therefore should be yad=atra pàpaì sa tad=avàpnîti; the emendation yî=tr=àpàyas=satam=avàpnîti is lees likely to have been intended by the composer.
Th: The text, as pointed out by Altekar, is defective. He would prefer to amend the text into yadattra pàpaì sa tadavàpnîti and considers yî¸ttrà pàyassa tamavàpnîti as less likely. Banerjee reads pàyantàvad.
