No. 11B. Buddhist cave inscription. Prakrit. Published by Щyаmaka, official at Govardhana, by order of Sаtakarнi Gautamиputra and his mother, Queen Balaщrи Gautamи. This grant is written immediately in continuation of the preceding, and the form of it is very peculiar, as Щyаmaka has apparently given the words of the order (ll. 7 ffg.) exactly as he received them from the donors. It is supplementary to No. 11A, as it makes over a second field to the donees of the former grant, because the field in Aparakakhadи was no longer cultivated and the village had been deserted by its inhabitants. (ASWI) Separated only by a Svastika.

Notes
_____________
L.6 Read sаmakasa in accordance with sаmako in the next line, and the etymology, щyаmaka.(ASWI); Buhler read: rаjaнito; Sen. read: Siddha, Samakasa.
L.7 The three last letters of the line are slightly damaged, especially the e; but the reading is not doubtful.(ASWI); Buhler read: mahаdeviya; Sen. read . . cho before Sаmako, cha at the end of stk.; [ama*]cho - in SI only; Buhler read аroga-vatavo tato eva
L.8 The last letter of the line is misshaped: taм must be read for ge.(ASWI); Buhler read eтha, khege instead kheta, pativasatаna,
L.9 This letter (va) is not quite distinct; it most closely resembles va, but the sense requires na; possibly the cross line is due to a vein or flaw in the rock.(ASWI); Sen. read: . . kasate, kheta. Buhler read: va kaмsate, eva sati yaм dаni eтha, amasatakaм, bhikhуna
L.10 The stroke after, the sign for hundred, gives 101, which does not agree with the word preceding: possibly it only indicates that e has been left out before tasa.(ASWI); Buhler read: parиhаra, not read cha at the end of stk.
L.11 Read paтihаrarakhiya, corresponding to Sans, pratihаrarakшi: Vikramаnkacharita, ix. 7, and passim.(ASWI); Buhler read: parihereтha, parиhаra cha eтha, nibadhа laтha, matа lekhe. SI has paтihа(ra*)-rakhiya
L.12 Buhler read: [va]sаna, saмvаchhare and in notes - read saмvachhare, Pujitinа.
