No. 96. Pharpiк

Stone lying in a field near the village of Pharping, situated 4-1/2 miles to the south west of Kathmandu on a ridge skirting the valley was an inscribed stone when I explored the region in 1952-53. Later it was traced in Guкkhel by the side of the road near the Nakhu village. The stone wholly readable even though fragmentary is now in the Government Museum in Patan. There is no date because of damage. The inscribed part is 36-1/4 cm wide and 21 cm long. (R).
