King Jèvagupta & his father Ràmagupta are known for the first time from this record written in early mediaeval characters (8th cent. A.D.). We are not in a position to trace any relation of this king with later Guptas. He may be a local ruler like Saìgràmagupta (see Bh. No. 1555).
